Burn in the sun. If you have suffered a sunburn while working in the city or in the field, it is best to use one sheet plantain or cabbage
What to do when there are no pharmacy creams at hand? Will “green doctors” save from the garden? Or maybe “grandmother’s methods” – sour cream and sour milk – will help?
–Those who have to work for a long time, sometimes under direct sunlight, it will not hurt to have anti-sunburn products in the mini-first aid kit (these are “Bepanten”, “Panethenol” ointments), – says Zhanna Prykhodko, a top-class cosmetologist-dermatologist. – If you notice that the skin is reddened, be sure to “hide” it from the sun – wear a shirt with long sleeves made of natural fabrics, and a hat with a wide brim.
If the skin begins to burn, it is necessary to take measures as soon as possible. You can add plantain or cabbage leaves to the baked areas (before that, you need to crush it a little so that the juice comes out). A good aid is porridge made from raw potatoes. Or you can cut a potato in half and wipe the affected areas with it.
The main thing is to remove the thermal effect, cool the skin. You can apply a cloth soaked in cold water to the skin. A decoction or alcohol solution of calendula has proven itself very well – it is used to wipe the affected skin. After that, you need to anoint yourself with something fatty – in field conditions, it can be sour cream or sour milk.
– Is it possible to continue treatment with traditional methods, if pharmaceutical products are not available for some reason?
– There are several recipes that will help with sunburn. Pour two tablespoons of crushed oak bark with a glass of boiling water, boil for 10 minutes, cool, strain and make lotions. Or steam two tablespoons of clover in a glass of boiling water and make lotions.
Sea buckthorn oil will also help – you need to lubricate the affected areas with it. You can even lubricate burns with honey – it relieves pain, promotes healing and prevents the formation of blisters.
– If the burn is so strong that blisters have appeared, what should be done?
– But here the main thing is not to engage in self-medication. This condition requires medical attention. After all, the body is intoxicated, the temperature may rise, dizziness may occur, and an infection may enter the body through the bursting blisters. A sterile bandage should be applied to the blister, leave all work and go to the nearest medical facility.
In general, to avoid such troubles, you should not work in the open sun from 12:00 to 16:00. And also learn to protect your skin from the sun with special means in the summer.
